He said, "How I wish I could see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while revelation was descending upon him."While we were at Jiranah, with the Prophet ﷺ inside a tent, revelation came to him. Umar gestured to me to come, so I put my head into the tent. A man came to him who had entered the state of ihram for umrah while wearing a long robe and was smeared with perfume. He said, "Messenger of Allah, what do you say about a man who has entered ihram in a robe?"Just then revelation began to descend upon him, and the Prophet ﷺ began to make heavy breathing sounds because of it. When it left him, he asked, "Where is the man who questioned me just now?"The man was brought to him, and he said, "As for the robe, take it off, and as for the perfume, wash it off. Then begin your ihram anew."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, "The phrase 'then begin your ihram anew' I do not know anyone to have reported it other than Nuh bin Habib, and I do not consider it well-preserved. And Allah knows best."
