The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the noon prayer at al-Bayda, then mounted his camel and ascended the hill of al-Bayda, where he entered the state of consecration for both Hajj and Umrah after having prayed the noon prayer.
أخبرنا إسحق بن إبراهيم قال حدثنا النضر وهو ابن شميل قال حدثنا أشعث وهو ابن عبد الملك عن الحسن
أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى الظهر بالبيداء ثم ركب وصعد جبل البيداء فأهل بالحج والعمرة حين صلى الظهر
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Recorded by Abu Dawud in the Book of Rites of Hajj, chapter on the time of ihram, hadith no. 1774, from Ashath through this route. It is also found in Kubra, hadith no. 3642, and will come again at hadith nos. 2757 and 2934.Its defect is the use of "an" by Hasan Basri in transmitting it, and his condition regarding concealment of defects in transmission (tadlis) was mentioned earlier at hadith no. 36.
