The Prophet ﷺ said, "The people of Medina enter ihram from Dhul-Hulayfah, the people of Sham from al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn."It was also mentioned to me, though I did not hear it directly, that he said, "And the people of Yemen enter ihram from Yalamlam."
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري
أن النبي ﷺ قال يهل أهل المدينة من ذي الحليفة وأهل الشام من الجحفة وأهل نجد من قرن وذكر لي ولم أسمع أنه قال ويهل أهل اليمن من يلملم
Bukhari narrated it in Hajj, chapter on the mihal (entry point for ihram) of the people of Najd, hadith no. 1527, and Muslim in Hajj, chapter on the times fixed for Hajj and Umrah, hadith no. 17/1183, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna through this route. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 3635.
