Regarding the Prophet's ﷺ bath after major ritual impurity, he would wash his hands, perform ablution, then run his fingers through his hair until the water reached its roots, and then pour water over the rest of his body.

عن غسل النبي ﷺ من الجنابة أنه كان يغسل يديه ويتوضأ ويخلل رأسه حتى يصل إلى شعره ثم يفرغ على سائر جسده
