The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Performing ablution thoroughly is half of faith. Praise be to Allah fills the scale. Glorifying Allah and declaring His greatness fill the heavens and the earth. Prayer is light. Charity is proof. Patience is illumination. And the Quran is either an argument for you or against you."
أخبرنا عيسى بن مساور قال حدثنا محمد بن شعيب بن شابور عن معاوية بن سلام عن أخيه زيد بن سلام أنه أخبره عن جده أبي سلام عن عبد الرحمن بن غنم أن
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إسباغ الوضوء شطر الإيمان والحمد لله تملأ الميزان والتسبيح والتكبير يملأ السموات والأرض والصلاة نور والزكاة برهان والصبر ضياء والقرآن حجة لك أو عليك
[Its isnad is sahih] Ibn Majah reported it in "The Book of Purification, Chapter on Wudu Being Half of Faith," hadith no. 280, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Shuayb, transmitted through him. It also appears in Kubra, hadith no. 2217. Muslim also reported it, hadith no. 223, from the hadith of Zayd, from Abu Salam, from Abu Malik Ashari, transmitted through him.
