A man brought a rabbit to the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ extended his hand toward it, but the man who had brought it said, "I saw blood coming from it."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ withdrew his hand and instructed the people to eat. Among the group was a man sitting apart from the others.The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What is the matter with you?"He replied, "I am fasting."The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Why not the three white days, the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth?"
أخبرنا عمرو بن يحيى بن الحارث قال حدثنا المعافى بن سليمان قال حدثنا القاسم بن معن عن طلحة بن يحيى
أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ بأرنب وكان النبي ﷺ مد يده إليها فقال الذي جاء بها إني رأيت بها دما فكف رسول الله ﷺ يده وأمر القوم أن يأكلوا وكان في القوم رجل منتبذ فقال النبي ﷺ ما لك قال إني صائم فقال له النبي ﷺ فهلا ثلاث البيض ثلاث عشرة وأربع عشرة وخمس عشرة
