An Arabi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a roasted rabbit and some bread, and placed them before the Prophet ﷺ. Then he said, "I noticed it was bleeding."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions, "That does no harm. Eat."Then he said to the Arabi, "Eat."The Arabi replied, "I am fasting."The Prophet asked, "What kind of fast?"He said, "I fast three days each month."The Prophet said, "If you are fasting, then keep to the bright white days, the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, the correct narration is from Abu Dharr, and it appears that the word "Dharr" was dropped from the manuscript, so it was read as "Ubayy."
أخبرنا أحمد بن عثمان بن حكيم عن بكر عن عيسى عن محمد عن الحكم عن موسى بن طلحة عن ابن الحوتكية قال
إلى رسول الله ﷺ ومعه أرنب قد شواها وخبز فوضعها بين يدي النبي ﷺ ثم قال إني وجدتها تدمى فقال رسول الله ﷺ لأصحابه لا يضر كلوا وقال للأعرابي كل قال إني صائم قال صوم ماذا قال صوم ثلاثة أيام من الشهر قال إن كنت صائما فعليك بالغر البيض ثلاث عشرة وأربع عشرة وخمس عشرة قال أبو عبد الرحمن الصواب عن أبي ذر ويشبه أن يكون وقع من الكتاب ذر فقيل أبي
