I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ calling people to the pre-dawn meal during the month of Ramadan, saying, "Come to the blessed meal."
أخبرنا شعيب بن يوسف بصري قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن معاوية بن صالح عن يونس بن سيف عن الحارث بن زياد عن أبي رهم
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ وهو يدعو إلى السحور في شهر رمضان وقال هلموا إلى الغداء المبارك
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Fasting, chapter on those who call the pre-dawn meal "the morning meal", no. 2344, from the hadith of Muawiya through this route, and it is also in al-Kubra, no. 2473. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih at 4/214, no. 1938, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 882. The hadith also has corroborating narrations in Ibn Hibban, no. 881, and elsewhere.Abdul-Rahman here is Ibn Mahdi, and Harith bin Ziyad is hasan al-hadith. There is disagreement over whether he was a companion, and the claim that he is unknown is the weaker view.
