We said to Hudhayfah, "At what hour did you eat the pre-dawn meal with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "It was daytime, except that the sun had not yet risen."
أخبرنا محمد بن يحيى بن أيوب قال أنبأنا وكيع قال حدثنا سفيان عن عاصم
قلنا لحذيفة أي ساعة تسحرت مع رسول الله ﷺ قال هو النهار إلا أن الشمس لم تطلع
[Its isnad is daif]. It is in Al-Kubra, no. 2462. Aasim is Ibn Abu Najud. Sufyan Thawri used ambiguous transmission forms, as noted previously at no. 1027, and Abu Bakr bin Ayyash corroborated him, as recorded by Ibn Majah, no. 1695, and his status was noted previously at no. 0780.
