Anas bin Malik reported,

During the night at the well of Badr, the Muslims heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing and calling out, "Abu Jahl bin Hisham! Shayba bin Rabia! Utba bin Rabia! Umaya bin Khalaf! Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true? I have indeed found what my Lord promised me to be true."The companions said, "Messenger of Allah, are you calling out to people who have already become rotting corpses?"He replied, "You do not hear what I am saying any better than they do, but they are unable to answer."

أخبرنا سويد بن نصر قال أنبأنا عبد الله عن حميد

عن أنس قال

سمع المسلمون من الليل ببئر بدر ورسول الله ﷺ قائم ينادي يا أبا جهل بن هشام ويا شيبة بن ربيعة ويا عتبة بن ربيعة ويا أمية بن خلف هل وجدتم ما وعد ربكم حقا فإني وجدت ما وعدني ربي حقا قالوا يا رسول الله أو تنادي قوما قد جيفوا فقال ما أنتم بأسمع لما أقول منهم ولكنهم لا يستطيعون أن يجيبوا
