Umm Habiba bint Jahsh suffered from prolonged bleeding for seven years and complained about it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This is not menstruation, but rather a vein bleeding. Perform a full bath and then pray."
أخبرنا عمران بن يزيد قال حدثنا إسمعيل بن عبد الله قال حدثنا الأوزاعي قال حدثنا الزهري عن عروة وعمرة
استحيضت أم حبيبة بنت جحش سبع سنين فاشتكت ذلك إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن هذه ليست بالحيضة ولكن هذا عرق فاغتسلي ثم صلي
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Menstruation, Chapter on the Bleeding of Prolonged Menstrual Discharge, hadith no. 327, and Muslim in the Book of Menstruation, Chapter on Prolonged Menstrual Discharge, its Washing and Prayer, hadith no. 334, from the hadith of Zuhri, using the same wording, see the previous hadith. Ibn Majah also narrated it, hadith no. 626, from the hadith of Uzai, and it is found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 211.
