أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الأعلى قال حدثنا خالد قال حدثنا شعبة عن قتادة عن مطرف عن حكيم بن قيس أن
لا تنوحوا علي فإن رسول الله ﷺ لم ينح عليه مختصر
[Its chain is sahih] Ahmad narrated it, 5/61, from the hadith of Shuba, in full, and it is in al-Kubra, hadith no. 1978. Hakim declared it sahih, 1/382, as did Dhahabi.Qatada explicitly stated that he heard it directly, as recorded by Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad, hadith no. 361. Mutarrif is the son of Shakhir, and Hakeem bin Qays bin Asim is trustworthy.
