Hasan bin Ali reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me these words to say in the witr prayer. He said, "Say, O Allah, guide me among those You have guided, bless me among those You have blessed, take me into Your care among those You have taken into Your care, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. For You decree, and none can decree against You. Truly, no one You support is ever humiliated. Blessed are You, our Lord, and exalted. May Allah send prayers upon the Prophet Muhammad."

أخبرنا محمد بن سلمة قال حدثنا ابن وهب عن يحيى بن عبد الله بن سالم عن موسى بن عقبة عن عبد الله بن علي

عن الحسن بن علي قال

علمني رسول الله ﷺ هؤلاء الكلمات في الوتر قال قل اللهم اهدني فيمن هديت وبارك لي فيما أعطيت وتولني فيمن توليت وقني شر ما قضيت فإنك تقضي ولا يقضى عليك وإنه لا يذل من واليت تباركت ربنا وتعاليت وصلى الله على النبي محمد

Commentary

Darussalam

[Its chain of transmission is daif] It is in Sunan al-Kubra, hadith no. 1443. Abdullah bin Ali did not meet Hasan bin Ali, as stated in Tahdhib, 5/284. Ibn Khuzayma reported, hadith no. 1100, with a sahih chain of transmission, from Ubayy bin Kaab, that he used to recite qunut during the night prayers of Ramadan by order of Umar رضي الله عنهم , then he would send blessings on the Prophet ﷺ, and so on.
