When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ grew old and put on weight, he would pray seven units of prayer, sitting only at the end of them, then after concluding with the salutation he would pray two more units while seated. That makes nine, my son. Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed a particular prayer, he loved to maintain it consistently. This is an abridged version. Hisham al-Dastuwai differed with him in his narration.
