The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the witr prayer with three units. In the first, he would recite "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High." In the second, he would recite "Say, O disbelievers." In the third, he would recite "Say, He is Allah, the One."Zuhayr narrated it as a statement of the companion rather than the Prophet.
أخبرنا الحسين بن عيسى قال حدثنا أبو أسامة قال حدثنا زكريا بن أبي زائدة عن أبي إسحق عن سعيد بن جبير
كان رسول الله ﷺ يوتر بثلاث يقرأ في الأولى بسبح اسم ربك الأعلى وفي الثانية بقل يا أيها الكافرون وفي الثالثة بقل هو الله أحد أوقفه زهير

Narrated by Tirmidhi, Prayer, chapter on what is recited in Witr, no. 462, and Ibn Majah, Establishing Prayers, chapter on what is recited in Witr, no. 1172, from the hadith of Abu Ishaq with this chain. It is also in Al-Kubra, no. 1427, and its corroborating narration has already appeared, no. 1700.
