A complaint was brought to the Prophet ﷺ about a man who feels something during prayer. He said, "He should not leave the prayer until he detects an odor or hears a sound."
أخبرنا قتيبة عن سفيان عن الزهري ح و أخبرني محمد بن منصور عن سفيان قال حدثنا الزهري قال أخبرني سعيد يعني ابن المسيب وعباد بن تميم عن عمه وهو
شكي إلى النبي ﷺ الرجل يجد الشيء في الصلاة قال لا ينصرف حتى يجد ريحا أو يسمع صوتا
Bukhari narrated it, Wudu, chapter "One does not perform wudu because of doubt until he is certain," hadith 137, and Muslim, Menstruation, chapter "The evidence that whoever is certain of purity and then doubts, etc.," hadith 361, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, with this same chain, and it is in Kubra, hadith 152, only in the narration of Muhammad bin Mansur.
