The Prophet ﷺ led one group of his companions in two units of prayer and then gave the closing salutation, then he led another group in two units of prayer and gave the closing salutation.
أخبرني إبراهيم بن يعقوب قال حدثنا عمرو بن عاصم قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن قتادة عن الحسن
أن النبي ﷺ صلى بطائفة من أصحابه ركعتين ثم سلم ثم صلى بآخرين أيضا ركعتين ثم سلم

[Sahih] Ibn Khuzayma narrated it, no. 1353, through another route from Hasan, and he found fault with it. It is also found in al-Kubra, no. 1940. See the preceding hadith, for it serves as a corroborating witness for it, and see the following hadith numbered (1555).
