The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever catches one rakah of the Friday prayer has caught the prayer."
أخبرنا قتيبة ومحمد بن منصور واللفظ له عن سفيان عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة
عن النبي ﷺ قال من أدرك من صلاة الجمعة ركعة فقد أدرك
[Sahih] Ibn Majah recorded it in "Establishing the Prayers," chapter "What Has Been Said About Whoever Catches a Rakat of Friday Prayer," hadith no. 1121, through another route from Zuhri, and it is also found in "Al-Kubra," hadith no. 1741. The hadith has a corroborating witness in Daraqutni, 12/2, hadith no. 1592, and its chain is hasan li-dhatihi. Bayhaqi recorded it as well, 3/204, and others, with a sahih chain, from Ibn Umar, who said, "Whoever catches a rakat of Friday prayer has caught it, except that he must make up what he missed." The hadith has other corroborating witnesses as well.
