I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering the Friday sermon standing, then he would sit down briefly without speaking, then stand up again and deliver another sermon. So whoever tells you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver the sermon sitting has lied.
أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن بزيع قال حدثنا يزيد يعني ابن زريع قال حدثنا إسرائيل قال حدثنا سماك
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يخطب يوم الجمعة قائما ثم يقعد قعدة لا يتكلم ثم يقوم فيخطب خطبة أخرى فمن حدثكم أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يخطب قاعدا فقد كذب
