I sat with the Prophet ﷺ, and I never saw him deliver the sermon except while standing. He would then sit, then stand again to deliver the second sermon.
أخبرنا علي بن حجر قال حدثنا شريك عن سماك
جالست النبي ﷺ فما رأيته يخطب إلا قائما ويجلس ثم يقوم فيخطب الخطبة الآخرة
