By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not single us out with anything to the exclusion of others except for three things. He commanded us to perform ablution thoroughly, not to consume charity, and not to mate donkeys with horses.
أخبرنا يحيى بن حبيب بن عربي قال حدثنا حماد قال حدثنا أبو جهضم قال حدثني عبد الله بن عبيد الله بن عباس قال كنا جلوسا إلى
والله ما خصنا رسول الله ﷺ بشيء دون الناس إلا بثلاثة أشياء فإنه أمرنا أن نسبغ الوضوء ولا نأكل الصدقة ولا ننزي الحمر على الخيل
[Its chain is hasan] Ibn Majah recorded it in the chapter on wudu, in the section on what has been said about completing wudu thoroughly, hadith no. 426, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd. Abu Dawud recorded it in the chapter on prayer, in the section on the amount of recitation in the Dhuhr and Asr prayers, hadith no. 808, and Tirmidhi recorded it in the chapter on jihad, in the section on what has been said about the dislike of letting donkeys mate with horses, hadith no. 1701, both from the hadith of Abu Jahdam Musa bin Salim, with this same wording.Tirmidhi said, "hasan sahih." It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 138, and it has other chains of transmission recorded by Tahawi and others.
