We used to pray the Friday prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then return home while the walls still cast no shadow in which one could take shelter from the sun.
أخبرنا شعيب بن يوسف قال أنبأنا عبد الرحمن عن يعلى بن الحارث قال سمعت
كنا نصلي مع رسول الله ﷺ الجمعة ثم نرجع وليس للحيطان فيء يستظل به
Bukhari transmitted it in Maghazi, chapter on the Battle of Hudaybiya, no. 4168, and Muslim, no. 860, see also the preceding hadith, from the hadith of Yaala bin Harith, with this wording, and it is in Kubra, no. 1698.
