The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The bath on Friday is obligatory upon every person who has reached puberty."
أخبرنا قتيبة عن مالك عن صفوان بن سليم عن عطاء بن يسار
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال غسل يوم الجمعة واجب على كل محتلم
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Friday Prayer, chapter on the merit of ghusl on Friday, etc., hadith no. 879, and Muslim in the Book of Friday Prayer, chapter on the obligation of ghusl for Friday upon every adult, etc., hadith no. 846, from the hadith of Malik, by this chain. It is also found in Muwatta (Yahya) 1/102, and in Kubra, hadith no. 1668.
