[Its isnad is sahih] Ibn Majah reported it, in the chapter on establishing the prayers, the section on what has been said about killing the snake and the scorpion during prayer, hadith no. 1245, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna with this chain. Tirmidhi said, hadith no. 390, "hasan sahih." It is also in al-Kubra, hadith no. 1125. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith no. 869, as did Ibn Hibban, hadith no. 528, and al-Hakim, 1/256, and Dhahabi.Yahya bin Abu Kathir explicitly stated that he heard it directly, as recorded by Ahmad, 2/473.
