We did not know what to say after every two units of prayer, beyond glorifying, magnifying, and praising our Lord. But Muhammad ﷺ was taught the openings and conclusions of all goodness, so he said, "When you sit after every two units, say, 'All greetings, prayers, and good things belong to Allah. Peace be upon you, Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.' Then let each of you choose whichever supplication he likes best and call upon Allah with it."
