Abu Sulayman Malik bin Huwayrith came to our mosque and said, "I want to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray." He then sat briefly in the first rakah after raising his head from the second prostration.
أخبرنا زياد بن أيوب قال حدثنا إسمعيل قال حدثنا أيوب
جاءنا أبو سليمان مالك بن الحويرث إلى مسجدنا فقال أريد أن أريكم كيف رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصلي قال فقعد في الركعة الأولى حين رفع رأسه من السجدة الآخرة
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on adhan, in the section titled "One who leads people in prayer while intending only to teach them," etc., hadith no. 677, from the hadith of Ayub Sakhtiyani, with this same wording. It is also found in Kubra, hadith no. 737.Abu Dawud also narrated it, in the chapter on prayer, in the section on rising for a single prostration, hadith no. 843, from Ziyad bin Ayub, with this same wording.
