I prayed the night prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he recited in it Surah at-Tin waz-Zaytun.
أخبرنا قتيبة عن مالك عن يحيى بن سعيد عن عدي بن ثابت
صليت مع رسول الله ﷺ العتمة فقرأ فيها بالتين والزيتون
Muslim reported it in the Book of Prayer, the chapter on recitation in the night prayer, hadith no. 176/464, from the hadith of Yahya Ansari, and Bukhari reported it in the Book of Adhan, the chapter on reciting aloud in the night prayer, hadith no. 767, from the hadith of Adi bin Thabit with the same wording. It is also found in Muwatta (Yahya's version) 1/79, 80, and in Kubra, hadith no. 1072.
