Regarding the verse "And what is recited to you in the Book concerning the orphan women whom you do not give what is decreed for them while you desire to marry them" [Nisa 4:127], she said that this was revealed concerning the orphan girl who is under a man's guardianship and is his partner in wealth. He has no desire to marry her himself, yet he dislikes that anyone else should marry her, since that would make another person his partner in his wealth. So he prevents her from marrying, neither marrying her himself nor allowing anyone else to marry her.

{وما يتلى عليكم في الكتاب في يتامى النساء اللاتي لا تؤتونهن ما كتب لهن وترغبون أن تنكحوهن} قالت أنزلت في اليتيمة تكون عند الرجل فتشركه في ماله فيرغب عنها أن يتزوجها ويكره أن يزوجها غيره فيشركه في ماله فيعضلها فلا يتزوجها ولا يزوجها غيره
