Asma asked the Prophet ﷺ about the bath required after menstruation. He said, "One of you should take her water and her lotus leaves and purify herself, doing so thoroughly. Then she should pour water over her head and rub it vigorously until it reaches the roots of her hair. Then she should pour water over herself. After that, she should take a piece of cloth scented with musk and purify herself with it."Asma asked, "How does she purify herself with it?"He said, "Glory be to Allah! She purifies herself with it."Ayesha said, as if speaking discreetly, "You follow the traces of the blood with it."She also asked him about the bath required after major ritual impurity. He said, "She should take water and purify herself, doing so thoroughly, or completing the purification. Then she should pour water over her head and rub it until it reaches the roots of her hair. Then she should pour water over herself."Ayesha said, "How excellent are the women of the Ansar. Modesty did not prevent them from gaining understanding of their religion."
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى وابن بشار قال ابن المثنى حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن إبراهيم بن المهاجر قال سمعت صفية تحدث
أن أسماء سألت النبي ﷺ عن غسل المحيض فقال تأخذ إحداكن ماءها وسدرتها فتطهر فتحسن الطهور ثم تصب على رأسها فتدلكه دلكا شديدا حتى تبلغ شؤون رأسها ثم تصب عليها الماء ثم تأخذ فرصة ممسكة فتطهر بها فقالت أسماء وكيف تطهر بها فقال سبحان الله تطهرين بها فقالت عائشة كأنها تخفي ذلك تتبعين أثر الدم وسألته عن غسل الجنابة فقال تأخذ ماء فتطهر فتحسن الطهور أو تبلغ الطهور ثم تصب على رأسها فتدلكه حتى تبلغ شؤون رأسها ثم تفيض عليها الماء فقالت عائشة نعم النساء نساء الأنصار لم يكن يمنعهن الحياء أن يتفقهن في الدين
