Ayesha was told that Abdullah bin Amr was instructing women to undo their hair when they performed the ritual bath.She said, "How astonishing of Ibn Amr! He orders women to undo their hair when they bathe. Why doesn't he just order them to shave their heads? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I used to bathe from a single vessel, and I would do no more than pour water over my head three times."

بلغ عائشة أن عبد الله بن عمرو يأمر النساء إذا اغتسلن أن ينقضن رءوسهن فقالت يا عجبا لابن عمرو هذا يأمر النساء إذا اغتسلن أن ينقضن رءوسهن أفلا يأمرهن أن يحلقن رءوسهن لقد كنت أغتسل أنا ورسول الله ﷺ من إناء واحد ولا أزيد على أن أفرغ على رأسي ثلاث إفراغات
