The people set up camp with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-Hijr, the land of Thamud. They drew water from its wells and kneaded dough with it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered them to pour out the water they had drawn and to feed the dough to the camels, and he commanded them to draw water instead from the well that the she-camel used to drink from.
حدثني الحكم بن موسى أبو صالح حدثنا شعيب بن إسحق أخبرنا عبيد الله عن نافع أن
أن الناس نزلوا مع رسول الله ﷺ على الحجر أرض ثمود فاستقوا من آبارها وعجنوا به العجين فأمرهم رسول الله ﷺ أن يهريقوا ما استقوا ويعلفوا الإبل العجين وأمرهم أن يستقوا من البئر التي كانت تردها الناقة
