I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The Hour will come when the Romans are the most numerous of people."Amr said to him, "Be careful what you say."He replied, "I am saying what I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."Amr said, "If you say that, then indeed they possess four qualities. They are the most forbearing of people in times of trial, the quickest to recover after a calamity, the readiest to return to the attack after a retreat, and the best toward the poor, the orphan, and the weak. And a fifth fine and beautiful quality, they are the most resistant to the oppression of kings."
حدثنا عبد الملك بن شعيب بن الليث حدثني عبد الله بن وهب أخبرني الليث بن سعد حدثني موسى بن علي عن أبيه قال
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول تقوم الساعة والروم أكثر الناس فقال له عمرو أبصر ما تقول قال أقول ما سمعت من رسول الله ﷺ قال لئن قلت ذلك إن فيهم لخصالا أربعا إنهم لأحلم الناس عند فتنة وأسرعهم إفاقة بعد مصيبة وأوشكهم كرة بعد فرة وخيرهم لمسكين ويتيم وضعيف وخامسة حسنة جميلة وأمنعهم من ظلم الملوك
