Hanzala reported,

We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he admonished us, mentioning the Fire. Then I went home, joked with the children, and played with my wife.I went out and met Abu Bakr, and I mentioned this to him. He said, "I too have done the same as what you describe."So we met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I said, "Messenger of Allah, Hanzala has become a hypocrite."He said, "What do you mean?"I told him what had happened, and Abu Bakr said, "I have done the same as he has done."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hanzala, there is a time for this and a time for that. If your hearts were to remain always as they are during remembrance, the angels would shake your hands and greet you in the streets."
