Zuhri reported,

Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf reported that his mother, Umm Kulthum bint Uqba bin Abu Muayt, who was among the first women emigrants to pledge allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ, told him that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "He is not a liar who reconciles people, speaking good and conveying good."Ibn Shihab said, "I have not heard of any allowance being made in what people call lying except in three cases, war, reconciling people, and a man's talk with his wife and a woman's talk with her husband."
