Aaiz bin Amr reported,

Abu Sufyan passed by Salman, Suhayb, and Bilal among a group of men, and they said, "By Allah, the swords of Allah have not yet taken their full due from the neck of Allah's enemy."Abu Bakr said, "Do you say this about the elder of Quraysh and their chief?"Then he went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of what had happened. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Abu Bakr, perhaps you have angered them. If you have angered them, you have angered your Lord."So Abu Bakr went back to them and said, "My brothers, have I angered you?"They replied, "No, may Allah forgive you, our brother."
