The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Jareer, will you not give me relief from Dhul-Khalasah?" It was a temple belonging to Khathaam, called the Yemeni Kaaba.Jareer said, I set out with a hundred and fifty horsemen. I was not steady on horseback, so I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He struck his hand against my chest and said, "Allah, make him steady, and make him a guide who is rightly guided."So he went and burned it down with fire. Then Jareer sent a man from us, known by the kunya Abu Artah, to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to bring him the good news. He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said to him, "I did not come to you until we had left it looking like a mangy camel."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then invoked blessings upon the horses and men of Ahmas five times.
حدثنا إسحق بن إبراهيم أخبرنا جرير عن إسمعيل بن أبي خالد عن قيس بن أبي حازم
قال لي رسول الله ﷺ يا جرير ألا تريحني من ذي الخلصة بيت لخثعم كان يدعى كعبة اليمانية قال فنفرت في خمسين ومائة فارس وكنت لا أثبت على الخيل فذكرت ذلك لرسول الله ﷺ فضرب يده في صدري فقال اللهم ثبته واجعله هاديا مهديا قال فانطلق فحرقها بالنار ثم بعث جرير إلى رسول الله ﷺ رجلا يبشره يكنى أبا أرطاة منا فأتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال له ما جئتك حتى تركناها كأنها جمل أجرب فبرك رسول الله ﷺ على خيل أحمس ورجالها خمس مرات
