Abdullah bin Umar reported,
We never called Zayd bin Haritha anything but Zayd bin Muhammad, until it was revealed in the Quran, "Call them by the names of their fathers, that is more just in the sight of Allah" [Ahzab 33:5].Shaykh Abu Ahmad Muhammad bin Isa said, Abu Abbas Sarraj and Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Yusuf Duwayri informed us, both saying, Qutayba bin Saeed narrated this hadith to us.
