Zayd bin Arqam reported,

We came in to see him and said to him, "You have seen much good. You kept company with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and prayed behind him." He then narrated the hadith in a manner similar to the hadith of Abu Hayan, except that he said, "Indeed, I am leaving among you two weighty things. The first of them is the Book of Allah , which is the rope of Allah. Whoever follows it is upon guidance, and whoever abandons it is upon misguidance."It also contained the following. We asked, "Who are the people of his household? Are they his wives?"He replied, "No, by Allah. A woman lives with a man for a period of time, then he divorces her and she returns to her father and her people. The people of his household are his roots and his paternal relatives, those who were forbidden from receiving charity after him."

عن زيد بن أرقم قال

دخلنا عليه فقلنا له لقد رأيت خيرا لقد صاحبت رسول الله ﷺ وصليت خلفه وساق الحديث بنحو حديث أبي حيان غير أنه قال ألا وإني تارك فيكم ثقلين أحدهما كتاب الله عز وجل هو حبل الله من اتبعه كان على الهدى ومن تركه كان على ضلالة وفيه فقلنا من أهل بيته نساؤه قال لا وايم الله إن المرأة تكون مع الرجل العصر من الدهر ثم يطلقها فترجع إلى أبيها وقومها أهل بيته أصله وعصبته الذين حرموا الصدقة بعده
