The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I will be at the Pond watching to see who comes to me from among you. Some people will be taken away before they reach me, so I will say, 'My Lord, they are from me and from my community.' It will be said, 'Do you not know what they did after you? By Allah, they kept turning back on their heels after you were gone.'"Ibn Abu Mulayka used to say, "Allah, we seek refuge in You from turning back on our heels or being led astray from our religion."

قال رسول الله ﷺ إني على الحوض حتى أنظر من يرد علي منكم وسيؤخذ أناس دوني فأقول يا رب مني ومن أمتي فيقال أما شعرت ما عملوا بعدك والله ما برحوا بعدك يرجعون على أعقابهم قال فكان ابن أبي مليكة يقول اللهم إنا نعوذ بك أن نرجع على أعقابنا أو أن نفتن عن ديننا
