The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade incantations. The family of Amr bin Hazm came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, we had an incantation with which we used to treat scorpion stings, but you have forbidden incantations."They presented it to him, and he said, "I see no harm in it. Whoever among you is able to benefit his brother, let him do so."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي سفيان
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الرقى فجاء آل عمرو بن حزم إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا يا رسول الله إنه كانت عندنا رقية نرقي بها من العقرب وإنك نهيت عن الرقى قال فعرضوها عليه فقال ما أرى بأسا من استطاع منكم أن ينفع أخاه فلينفعه
