I went in to see Bara bin Azib and heard him say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us with seven things and forbade us from seven. He commanded us to visit the sick, to follow funeral processions, to bless the one who sneezes, to fulfill an oath or help the one who takes an oath, to support the wronged, to accept an invitation, and to spread the greeting of peace. He forbade us from rings, or from wearing gold rings, from drinking from silver vessels, from saddle cushions of silk, from qassi garments, and from wearing silk, brocade, and heavy silk."

دخلت على البراء بن عازب فسمعته يقول أمرنا رسول الله ﷺ بسبع ونهانا عن سبع أمرنا بعيادة المريض واتباع الجنازة وتشميت العاطس وإبرار القسم أو المقسم ونصر المظلوم وإجابة الداعي وإفشاء السلام ونهانا عن خواتيم أو عن تختم بالذهب وعن شرب بالفضة وعن المياثر وعن القسي وعن لبس الحرير والإستبرق والديباج
