Someone said to Ibn Umar, "Tell me what the Prophet ﷺ forbade concerning drinking vessels in your dialect, and then explain it to me in ours, for you have a dialect different from ours."He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the hantam, which is the earthenware jar, and the dubba, which is the gourd, and the muzaffat, which is the vessel coated with pitch, and the naqir, which is a palm trunk that is scraped out and hollowed into a container. And he ordered that drinks be steeped in waterskins."
