Ali bin Abu Talib reported,

I received an old she-camel from the spoils of the Battle of Badr along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me another she-camel as well. One day I made them both kneel by the door of a man from the Ansar, intending to load them with idhkhir grass to sell. With me was a goldsmith from the tribe of Banu Qaynuqa whose help I sought to prepare for Fatimah's wedding feast.Hamza bin Abdul-Muttalib was drinking inside that house, and with him was a singing-girl entertaining him. She sang, "Hamza, up for the fat young camels!" Hamza sprang up with his sword, cut off their humps, slit open their flanks, and took out parts of their livers.I said to Ibn Shihab, "Did he take from the humps as well?"He replied, "He cut off their humps and carried them away."Ibn Shihab continued, Ali said, "I looked upon a sight that horrified me. I went to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, and Zayd bin Haritha was with him, and I told him what had happened. He came out with Zayd, and I went along with him. He entered upon Hamza and rebuked him angrily. Hamza raised his eyes and said, 'Are you anything but slaves of my forefathers?' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ backed away until he had left them."
