Salama bin Akwa reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever among you has offered a sacrifice, let nothing of it remain in his house after three days."When the following year came, the people said, "Messenger of Allah, shall we do as we did the previous year?"He replied, "No. That was a year in which the people were suffering hardship, and I wanted the meat to be distributed widely among them."
