The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him some sheep to distribute among his companions as sacrificial animals. A young goat remained, and he mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, "Sacrifice it yourself."Qutayba said, "among his companions."
و حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا ليث ح و حدثنا محمد بن رمح أخبرنا الليث عن يزيد بن أبى حبيب عن أبي الخير
أن رسول الله ﷺ أعطاه غنما يقسمها على أصحابه ضحايا فبقي عتود فذكره لرسول الله ﷺ فقال ضح به أنت قال قتيبة على صحابته
