Abdullah bin Mughaffal saw one of his companions flicking pebbles and told him, "Do not flick pebbles. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked," or he said, "forbade flicking pebbles, for it brings down no game and it does not wound an enemy. It only breaks a tooth or puts out an eye."Later he saw the man flicking pebbles again, so he said to him, "I tell you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked," or "forbade flicking pebbles, and then I see you flicking pebbles. I will not speak a single word to you for such and such a time."
