Mujashi bin Masud reported,

I brought my brother Abu Mabad to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after the conquest and said, "Messenger of Allah, take his pledge upon emigration."He replied, "Emigration has passed with its people."I said, "Then upon what will you take his pledge?"He said, "Upon Islam, jihad, and goodness."Abu Uthman said, I later met Abu Mabad and informed him of what Mujash had said, and he confirmed, "He spoke the truth."
