I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever among you we appoint to a task and then conceals from us so much as a needle or anything beyond that, it is misappropriation, and he will bring it with him on the Day of Resurrection."A dark-skinned man from the Ansar stood up before him, and I can still picture him now, and said, "Messenger of Allah, take back your appointment from me."The Prophet asked, "What is the matter with you?"He replied, "I heard you say such and such."The Prophet said, "And I say it now as well. Whoever among you we appoint to a task, let him bring all of it, the little and the much. Whatever he is given from it he may take, and whatever he is forbidden he must refrain from."
