Muti reported, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say on the day Makkah was conquered, 'No man of Quraysh shall be executed in bonds after this day, until the Day of Resurrection.'"The narrator added that none of the defiant men of Quraysh had accepted Islam except Muti. His name had been Asi, meaning the disobedient one, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ named him Muti, the obedient one.
حدثنا أبي حدثنا زكرياء بهذا الإسناد وزاد قال ولم يكن أسلم أحد من عصاة قريش غير مطيع كان اسمه العاصي فسماه رسول الله ﷺ مطيعا
