I went on the expedition of Tabuk with the Prophet ﷺ. Yala used to say that this expedition was the deed he relied upon most.Ata said that Safwan said that Yala said, "I had a hired worker who got into a fight with another man, and one of them bit the other's hand."Safwan informed me which of them bit the other. The one who was bitten pulled his hand out of the biter's mouth, knocking out one of his front teeth. The two of them came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he ruled that no compensation was due for the tooth.

غزوت مع النبي ﷺ غزوة تبوك قال وكان يعلى يقول تلك الغزوة أوثق عملي عندي فقال عطاء قال صفوان قال يعلى كان لي أجير فقاتل إنسانا فعض أحدهما يد الآخر قال لقد أخبرني صفوان أيهما عض الآخر فانتزع المعضوض يده من في العاض فانتزع إحدى ثنيتيه فأتيا النبي ﷺ فأهدر ثنيته
